May Half-Term

Join us for a May half-term of fun activities for all the family! Get involved in dancing and puppet making workshops. Book early to avoid disappointment!

30th May: Maypole Workshop with Malkin Morris

In two hours you can:

📌Learn how to dance a Maypole dance from start to finish and conclude with a full performance
📌Develop performance skills
📌Get lots of exercise
📌Meet new people
📌Discover the history of our heritage of Morris dance
📌Find out about the music played
📌Have fun

Comfortable flat footwear and clothes should be worn which are suitable for action. Musicians who can play in the key of G and either read music or follow a tune by ear are also welcome to join the band!

**To book a ticket make sure you are either an adult or 8 years or older. Every participant must book a ticket and adults must supervise their children.**

31st May: Paper Puppet Workshop

Puppeteer and Actor Tom Byrne will help you and your family to build your own small scale tabletop puppet out of newspaper, masking tape, and small stones. Once you’ve made your puppet Tom will show you the basics of puppetry performance.

This is a fun workshop for all the family and you’ll have your own puppet to take home with you.

**Children must be supervised by adults**

Tickets are £2,50 and must be booked in advance.
