Inspired by writer Hubert Haddad’s controversial novel, Desirable Body (2015)
The exhibition presents works by four women artists which explore how bodily consciousness and the self are shaped by our desires for, and contact with, other bodies.

Hanover Project
Hanover Project is a contemporary art gallery at the University of Central Lancashire (UCLan). Run by a steering group of Fine Art lecturers, it presents exhibitions organized by staff and students and special projects by professional artists and curators.
The gallery gives students opportunities to work alongside artists and curators as research assistants, gallery invigilators and installation assistants, providing them with the valuable skills and knowledge needed for their future careers as arts professionals.
Hanover Project is seeking to collaborate with cultural partners in Preston – in this instance the Harris Museum and Art Gallery – in an effort to establish a more interconnected programme of events and exhibitions across the city. The aim of such exhibitions and events is to grow the cultural economy of Preston, develop new audiences, as well as opportunities and local infrastructure for artists.
