Autumn Fun with The Harris!
Get involved in our exciting programme of events located in The Guild Hall, Preston.
1) Monday 21st October: Spooky Stories: Join The Harris for Scary Stories with professional storyteller, Rogan Mills. If you enjoy fun and frights and things that go bump in the night, then this is the place for you. But be warned, audience participation is compulsory (you too grown ups!). Come along if you dare.
2) Tuesday 22nd October: Lantern Making Workshop – Autumn is the perfect time to make a lantern to light up the dark nights. Choose a Diwali or Halloween theme, or your own design.
3) Wednesday 23rd October: Diwali Decorations Workshop – Fun Diwali activities for all – explore the festive crafts such as Diya decoration, Rangoli designs, Toran making, Diya mobile.
4) Friday 25th October: Football Craft – Drop-in knit and natter session as part of our Giant Scarf project along with some simple drop-in family activities.
Harris Your Place
Harris Your Place is a £16 million project set to restore and reimagine the Harris for 21st-century audiences as a cultural learning space. The aim of this project is to protect the building and the architecture for future generations whilst enhancing accessibility options and positioning the Harris as a community hub for Preston and Lancashire.
The capital project is more than simply preserving this much-loved building; Harris wants to ensure that it remains a vibrant heart of the community. A place where people want to spend their time.
